If you succeed in being a top scorer in a level, you will find yourself covered in wings and your chat-box will be filled with requests of help. If this happens, make no mistake in realizing that you have been selected as a Transformice Shaman, a superhero, the only hope of all mice in your map.
Transformice Shaman Powers
Now let us take a look at your responsibilities and powers as a Shaman.
- Being a Shaman, you can earn experience at a much higher rate than a normal mouse. Saving every mouse gives you 10 experience points. More experience mean faster growth of the levels, faster gain of skills and faster unlocking of titles.
- Also, it gives a special satisfaction to know that you are the most experienced person and all other players are relying on you for their lives.
- Shaman can summon different objects in the game which will help him save himself and other mice.
- A Shaman also has hard and divine modes which further represent the skill level of the player. To become a hard mode shaman, you must have saved 1000 mice and to become a divine mode shaman, you must have saved 5000 mice in regular mode and 2000 mice in hard mode. The hard and divine mode shamans are further explained below.
As you must have heard, with great power comes great responsibility. Yup, the spiderman quote fits right in this game just like any other real world scenario. Let us now take a look at the responsibilities of a shaman.
- A shaman must guide the mice by showing them how to get to the cheese and then back to the mouse holes.
- Shaman has many powers including revival of the dead mice and use of objects to save them. You must know about your abilities and try hard to save as many mice as you can.
- There are 5 areas of skills which help shaman to save the mice. These skills can also be enhanced using skill points. You must earn more and more skills and practice them as much as you can to give the mice your fullest.
Summoning Objects and Making Structures in Transformice
When you become shaman, you will see a menu at the bottom right corner of your screen. When you open the menu, you will see a list of things you can summon to help other mice.
Here are some of the most important items:
Arrow: Arrows are used to show path to the mice to a certain location. Arrows can be rotated. They do not interact with mice.
Spirit: Spirits are used in spirit jumping.
Balloon: As a shaman, you can attach balloons with mice to get them at higher locations.
Rune: A rune is an arrow shaped magical object which is also used for guiding mice to certain locations. Runes slowly move in the direction they are pointing, defy gravity and interact with the mice.
Wooden Boxes: Empty wooden boxes come in two sizes and become handy at many different occasions.
Anvil: Anvils have a great density and are used to increase weight of a structure.
Wooden Planks: Wooden planks also come in two sizes. They are vital objects in making many structures like bridges, ramps and stairs etc.
Trampoline: Trampoline are bouncy surfaces which are used to jump to higher surfaces. It has a wooden and a bouncy part. Wooden part has a very low bounce rate whereas the bouncy part can be used if greater heights are intended.
Magical Warp Portals: Magical Warp Portals are used to teleport mice from one place to the other. You can place warp in near the mice and the warp out near their destination. It is a very useful tool and becomes necessary to clear many levels.
Conjuration: Our last object is a spawnable block that can be used to create freeform surfaces like roofs, walls and bridges.
When you summon the objects, you will also need to anchor those objects to make successful structures. This can be done using nails.
- Red Nails or Global Anchors are used to anchor objects with the background. The anchored objects can rotate but otherwise cannot move. You can use Red Nail using B key.
- Yellow Nails or Object Anchors are used to anchor objects so that they cannot rotate. using yellow nails, objects cannot be anchored with the background. They must be anchored with other objects. Yellow Nails can be used using C key.
- Green Nails or Hinge Anchors are used to anchor objects to other objects and also let them rotate. Green Nails can be used using V key. Green Nails put using N key will only allow the objects to rotate in clockwise direction whereas those put using J key will only allow rotation in anti-clockwise direction.
- You can also use Z, X, shift and Ctrl keys or the mouse wheel to rotate the objects.
After Shaman, there comes a Hard Mode Shaman and then there comes a Divine Mode Shaman.
Hard Mode Shaman
A Hard Mode Shaman is for you when you have played the game enough to know in and out of it. When you feel you are becoming too good and the game is not giving you enough challenge, hard mode can be a good way add spice to your gaming experience. You can select Hard Mode by clicking on a feather next to the menu and selecting “Use Shaman Hard Mode”. You must have saved at least 1000 mice to activate the hard mode. First thing you will notice after activating the hard mode is the difference in your appearance.
But along with change in the appearance, you also restrict yourself from using Red Nails and Spirit tool meaning you will have to find creative ways to do the tasks you did with Red Nails and Spirit Tool before.
In the hard mode, you will be able to make totems and use them in different levels whenever needed. Totems are premade structures which can be summoned by Shaman anytime. Totem can only be summoned once per level.
While in hard mode, every mouse save is counted as a normal save and a hard save.
Divine Mode Shaman
If after playing Transformice in hard mode, you start thinking you are too good for the game, maybe its time to start playing with a divine mode shaman. To become a divine mode shaman, you must have 5000 normal saves and 2000 hard saves. Not only a divine mode shaman cannot use red nails and spirit tool, he is also not allowed to use extremely useful yellow nails. Divine mode shaman is considered to be the ultimate mode in the game and anyone intending to become a divine mode shaman must play enough to know the inside out of the game.
Transformice Shaman Techniques
The hard and divine mode shamans are not allowed to use certain objects in the game. Therefore they must come up with techniques to make the structures without using red and yellow nails.
